Sometimes when scrolling through facebook you find a gem, a story that gives you hope and brightens your day. The story I found was of a 9yr old girl named Lily and her little sister Maizy. Lily and Maizy were read the story "I am Malala" and they were surprised to find out that in some countries girls were not able to go to school. This ignited Lily to take action. She recuted Maizy and her mom to help and got to work making LoveBirds. These birds are brightly colored made from material, stuffed with love and of course sealed with a kiss. Each bird is sold for $10 and the money is donated to the Malala Fund and The Power of 5 Conscious Connections Foundation. These girls work hard after school, hockey, and sometimes even get the help from their classroom making these birds. The Love birds are starting to become so popular that they are now on back order.
I was so honored to meet Lily and Maizy last weekend and hear about their LoveBirds and take photos for them. These sisters truely are fun, kind, and full of life. I have no doubt these girls are world changers and just go to show no voice is to small.
