Stella Pearl

I've had the pleasure of getting to know one of Montana's stunning pinup models Stella Pearl. I enjoy every chance I get to work with this lady. Not only does she have a pretty face but just as beautiful soul who gives back to her community. Stella is a firecracker to work with, she keeps me laughing, and the camera loves her. When Stella isn't in front of a camera you can find her on stage with The Cigarette Girls Burlesque or competing in pinup contests (you will know her by her trail of glitter and feathers)
Thank you Stella for always being great to work with. I look forward to more photoshoots in the future.

More then just photography...

Why do I do photography? The question has many answers. I have a love of photography from the forming ideas to the final product. Being able to unleash my visions and creativity and see it come out through my camera. Photography isnt just a business to me, it isnt another way to make money, and you aren't just another client to me.
My photography is more then a business, it's more like a therapy for me. Where I can step out of my everday to do list and let my mind go. It's given me a release from my lupus and something to focus on other then being tired and sore. It's given me memories and bonding moments with my children that are captured forever. I'm even amazed by the stories that every client shares and the different walks of life they all come from. So many clients I've even built friendships with or at least keep in touch with. I've had woman come feeling self concious but leave with a different attitude and bubbling with how much fun they had. It's those moments and the smile on a clients face that make me love what I do and it has nothing to do with making another dollar. I feel everyone deserves to have those experiences and a break from every day life; which is why I often have specials, donate, contests, give aways, and so on.
So for me photography is more then just a business, its my passion, a gift, a gift to others.

Question and Answers

I get alot of emails asking a variety of questions and I would like to take some time to share what some of them are with all of you with the answers :)
So here we go...

1. Do you only do 40's inspired photos?
No, I’ve done many portraits in the past, including roller derby, animals, engagement, senior photos etc. Just send me a message with any ideas you have and we can see what we can work out.

2. What happens if I have a huge zit the day of my shoot?
Not to worry, with simple editing blemishes, bruises, birth marks and wrinkles can easily be erased. Blemish touch up is included at no charge in each package!

3. I have no modeling experience, what do I do?
Most people don't have modeling experience. I will do my best to guide you and once you start to relax it will come naturally.

4. How long have you been doing this?
I have been doing portraits on and off since I was 20, In 1998 I got more serious and then took a break for 4 years. As of spring 2008 I was back into the swings of things with more to offer.

5. Will you go on location for your shoots?
Absolutely, I need to have a space big enough for your shoot, but I am fully mobile within reason.

6. Do you have any size or age restrictions?
Nope everyone is beautiful but of course there is an age restriction for some photos.

7. Will you take pictures with animals?
Yes. One of my main focuses for a long time was animals and animals with their owners. They are always a joy to work with and still one of my favorite clients. However, these photos will have to be done outside.

8. What kind of poses/pictures should I do?
Do what fits your personality and makes you most comfortable. You can always do a little research before coming to help give you an idea.

9. How can I become a model for your website?
After your photoshoot we will go through the final pictures and what ever ones you are comfortable with me posting will be added to the website.

10. Where do I book my appointment?
Its simple just email me here at: ladywestphotography@gmail.com
